Suva, 12th July 2024 – The Fiji Sports Council (FSC) today announced the signing of a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Unit Trust of Fiji (UTOF), marking a transformative partnership aimed at enhancing sports facilities across Fiji. This collaboration, rooted in a shared vision, seeks to elevate sports infrastructure and create lasting benefits for all Fijians.
The MoU represents a significant step forward in FSC’s mission to develop world-class sports venues that will benefit athletes and provide local communities with better access to modern, state-of-the-art facilities. By joining forces with UTOF, FSC will work to ensure that future generations of Fijians enjoy high-quality sports infrastructure that meets international standards, fostering the growth of sports at both grassroots and elite levels.
Speaking at the signing, Fiji Sports Council’s Executive Chairman Gilbert Vakalalabure acknowledged the significance of the partnership:
